Dating from 1904, St Anne’s - the Cathedral of the Catholic Diocese in Leeds - is one of the most celebrated churches in the UK.
The cathedral is simple and elegant, with spectacular external elevations and an ingenious internal plan to accommodate the relatively small city centre site.
The focal point is undoubtedly the sanctuary, with its free-standing high altar made of Italian marble. The superb altarpiece in the Lady Chapel was designed by AWN Pugin, and was originally installed in the old cathedral in 1842.
Opening Times
Open daily: 7.15am - 6.15pm
Vigil (Saturdays): 6pm
Sunday Masses: 9.30am, 11.00am (soleman) and 6.30pm
