17th Apr 2012
On Saturday 14th April, The Light held its glamorous spring fashion show in honour of Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal, which was hosted by stars from the Bafta award winning television programme ‘The Only Way is Essex’.
The fashion show was organised by The Light and Leeds Fashion Show and helped to raise a total of £631.22 for Marie Curie. The show was hosted by TOWIE stars: Billie Faiers and model twins Dino and George Georgiades, alongside former Waterloo Road actress (Zeriozha Burt-Skeete).
The fashion show showcased The Lights retailer’s spring fashion lines as well as some of the latest collection from Billie Faiers and sisters Sam’s Essex Boutique: Minnie’s.
To help raise money for charity The Light sold VIP tickets with all profits donated to Marie Curie. In addition stall holders supporting the event also donated funds from the sale of goods and treatments. In particular Posh and Swanky Cupcakes kindly donated all profits of £88.50 to charity.
Stephanie James (Marketing Manager for The Light) said “The event was fantastic and has definitely helped to bring some bling to Leeds. Ultimately I do hope that the event has succeeded in raising awareness of the vital support system that Marie Curie Cancer Care provides to terminally ill patients”.
