Northern Ballet was set up in 1969 and has since grown to become one of the best-loved dance companies in the world. They take inspiration from an eclectic mix of classical dance, theatre, popular culture, literature and opera to develop new and original productions and to create new interpretations of popular classical ballets.

The company regularly tours throughout the UK and overseas, as well as performing regularly at home in Leeds, either at their new building in Quarry Hill, at The Grand Theatre or at the West Yorkshire Playhouse.
