Providing customers in Leeds with Italian style gourmet pizzas and boasting a director that has previously worked as head of one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants La Noisette, boxpizza is the city's first award winning pizza delivery service.
Always having used the latest technology to ensure the pizzas stay hot, the food is transported in electronically heated bags, and can now be monitored from the sofa, tracking it from oven to door.
James said: “We are passionate about 2 things. Great food and great customer experiences. We use the first to provide the second and work with fantastic local suppliers to source the finest, freshest ingredients. The new tracking system now gives piece of mind to our customers who rely on us to give them a great takeaway experience from start to finish .”
He added: “This is something I've been
wanting to do for a while and when researching what else was out there
I was amazed that this facility isn't available anywhere else in the
UK for pizza delivery. It made sense to us as another way we can offer
our customers added value, and it's being really well received.”
Based on Burley Road, just minutes from
Leeds City Centre, the service is available to anyone within the boxpizza
delivery area. More information can be found at www.boxpizza.co.uk.
The pizzas are handmade using only fresh
ingredients. Created with fine grain Italian flour and virgin olive
oil stonebaked. Offering "the
best artichoke and parma ham pizza this side of Rome" (The Leeds
Guide), all pizzas are free from
hydrogenated fats, processed meats and are also low in salt and sugar.
After spotting a gap in the market back in 2005, James Sturdy and Henry Vigar decided that the home delivery market needed something different and more traditional. Through their love for pizza they introduced traditional Italian cuisine with a twist set to be innovative yet accessible. Keen on working with local produce and suppliers, boxpizza’s butcher is in Bradford, and they source their veg from Headingley.
With ambitious plans
for the future, boxpizza are constantly developing new recipes and hope
to expand and open more premises in Yorkshire over the next few years.
