St Johns’ hair salon HCUK, which is based on the upper mall of the shopping centre, is hoping to help raise awareness of breast cancer through a number of fundraising initiatives for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
 
Participating branches of the salon will join forces to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer in partnership with Leeds powerhouse, GHD. Staff from the salon are encouraging visitors to donate generously to take part in a raffle in which they can win prizes including a full head of highlights, GHD goody bags, and his and hers bathrobes.
 
On Saturday 22nd October, HCUK at the St Johns centre will also host a pink themed fancy dress day which they hope help them on their way to raising hundreds of pounds for the charity.
 
Denise Jeffery, Centre Manager at St Johns, said: “We are pleased to be able to get on board and support Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity throughout October at HCUK. I hope shoppers in the centre will donate generously and support the salon in its fundraising venture.”
