Leeds Retail Awards: winners announced
3rd Oct 2011
Last night, the cream of Leeds’ retail scene donned their finest and gathered at the beautiful Metropole hotel in Leeds City Centre for the eagerly anticipated and undeniably glamorous Leeds Retail Awards 2011.
Hosted by the Leeds Guide as an annual event to coincide with October’s Leeds Loves Shopping festival; the Leeds Retail Awards offer Leeds’ finest retailers a chance to receive a commendable and desirable award, voted for by Leeds Guide readers.
This year, the Leeds Retail Awards included the following categories: High Street, Homeware, Menswear, Footwear, Lingerie, Music, Health and Wellbeing, Newcomer, Customer Service, Hifi and Electrical, Local Designer, Shopping Centre, Womenswear, Jewellery, Department Store, Sports and Hobbies, Specialist Retailer, Independent, Vintage and Retail Assistant with each award going to the brand/store with the highest number of consumer votes. There were also three additional awards; BACIL Retailer of the Year, Outstanding Contribution the Environment and Retail Legend. These award winners were decided by a team of expert industry judges.
The awards brought together a range of retailers from across the city, all dressed to the nines and eagerly, but nervously anticipating the award announcements. So without further ado, allow us to announce this year’s results…
