Opened in 2000, this country park is the site of a former colliery. Providing numerous footpaths and trails through coppices, ponds and woodlands, Rothwell Country Park provides breathtaking views across the city. The park also provides access to the Lower Aire Valley and the Aire and Calder Navigation, and the Transpennine Trail also crosses the site.
