Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebratory Concert, Leeds Philharmonic Chorus
Saturday 2 June, 7.30 pm, Leeds Town Hall
Leeds Philharmonic Chorus presents an exciting programme of celebratory music, including Handel’s Coronation Anthems, Mozart’s Coronation Mass (No 15 in C Major, KV317), and featuring the talented young Ukrainian pianist Alexej Gorlatch, silver prize-winner at the 2009 Leeds International Piano Competition, who will be playing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No 18 in B Flat, KV456.
The orchestra is Manchester Camerata, the conductor David Hill, the soloists Sarah Ogden, Heather Ireson, Thomas Morss and Matthew Kellett.
Tickets £16-£31.50, concessions available, via www.leedsphil.org, or the City Centre Box Office at The Carriageworks, tel 0113 224 3801. Tickets can also be purchased from any chorus member.
