The Light retail and leisure scheme is set to celebrate its 10th birthday this Saturday. To help mark this momentous occasion the centre is planning a whole host of circus-style entertainment and X Factor performances.

The birthday party (which is free to attend) will be held on the Courtyard level and will include circus style entertainment, such as stunning stilt-walkers handing out free party bags to visitors and even three jaw-dropping aerial shows alongside a light show. To close the party The Light is also planning on wowing visitors with a spectacular surprise finale.

Centre Manager Brian Oakley said: "The Light has had ten fantastic years and we hope through our dedication to meeting our customer needs that the next ten will be just as successful”.

X Factor fans can also look forward to music from last year’s contestants, Concept Official. Plus X Factor 2011 country singer Carolynne Poole from Leeds, who made it all the way through to judges’ houses, before  Louis Walsh axed her in favour of more novelty acts, will perform at the grand finale.
