Church celebrates the magic of Christmas
16th Dec 2011
A Leeds church is helping to spread Christmas cheer with a free festive show from top magician and comedian John Archer.
Gateway Church will be hosting the event on Sunday 18 December at 2pm at the Hyde Park Picture House, where the award-winning entertainer will perform his popular mix of magic and comedy as well as sharing what Christmas means to him.
John Archer has been working as a professional Comedy Magician for the past 13 years, is a winner of the Magic Circle Stage Magician of the Year and recently managed to fool Penn and Teller on ITV’s Penn and Teller Fool Us show.
Gateway Church has recently celebrated its tenth anniversary and is currently in the process of renovating the St Marks church building in the Woodhouse area of the city.
Speaking about the event, organiser Chris Frost said: “We are really excited to be able to put on this event for the community and are delighted to be able to share the magic and meaning of Christmas in this way.”
The event is suitable for all the family and is free to all. For more information visit gatewayleeds.net.
