This beautiful Grade I listed building was consecrated with a ceremony on September 2 1841, when Florence Nightingale was present in the congregation. The church is famous for its choral and organ music as well as its beauty and history. The large Gothic revival structure incorporates numerous monuments and artefacts from earlier churches, and the Anglo-Scandinavian Cross was reconstructed from fragments found when the medieval tower was demolished. There is also a coffee shop with refreshments where you can purchase books, cards and gifts.

Opening Times Mon - Sat 9:30am to 3:00pm and from 5:00pm for 5:30pm sung services (6:30pm for 7:00pm on Fri). Sundays 9:00am - 12 noon and 5:30pm to 8:00pm. Main Sunday services are at 9:15am, 10:30am and (normally) 6:30pm (both sung).
