WYG’s global ambitions boosted
5th Dec 2011
International consultancy WYG has secured a position to support the UK Government’s Foreign&Commonwealth Office (FCO) on the global delivery of property related projects.
The four-year framework covers commissions to supply professional property related services on all the FCO’s buildings across the world, including embassies, consulates and visa offices.
The WYG team, led by Clive Anderson, head of Management Services and Philip Norris, the framework manager, can be called on to inspect British assets and properties in over 200 countries across the globe, reporting on their condition and advising on statutory and legal compliance. The team will then advise on subsequent works required and prepare scheme proposals, potentially working with local suppliers and sub consultants.
Philip Norris, Regional Director, WYG said: “A commission from the FCO carries significant weight and influence, our inclusion on this framework will further enhance WYG’s profile globally, as the Group seeks to grow its international business.
“Providing these services throughout the world will be an interesting challenge, and one that will draw on our international experience of thorough logistical planning for socio-economic donor funded projects in similar locations”
