Top Yorkshire property award for Colliers International
10th Oct 2011
Colliers International has won the much coveted ‘Agency Team of the Year’ award at the Yorkshire Property Industry Awards.
This major accolade recognises Colliers’ outstanding approach to doing business across all sectors and its continued achievements throughout a difficult climate.
The Yorkshire Property Industry Awards recognises major achievements right across the board. There are categories for the investors that provide the financial catalyst to get projects started; the developers with the innovation and insight to see what can be achieved; the architects and contractors that turn those visions into reality; and the agents that match buildings to the needs of Yorkshire’s business community.
Colliers attracted the attention of the judges for the breadth of its work after securing significant deals in retail, office, industrial, leisure and in the parks and recreational sector. Its most significant deals have included the acquisition of a new 118,000 sq ft store for Sainsbury’s at Trinity Walk in Wakefield, Asda’s 38,000 sq ft letting at The Mint in Leeds and the £8m acquisition of Sand le Mere in East Yorkshire. The judges said: “Colliers are a growing presence in the market and have a refreshing approach.”
Greg Styles, head of office at Colliers International in Leeds said, “We are thrilled to receive this award on such a significant platform for the region. It recognises the expertise and quality of our team that continue to outperform the competition with agility and market intuition.”
Hundreds of Yorkshire’s leading commercial property developers, investors, agents and advisers gathered at the awards dinner last week which raised money for The Variety Club Children's Charity.
