Stellar line-up announced for Bradford International Film Festival Industry Weekend

Organisers have unveiled a line-up of award winning experts from behind the scenes of filmmaking for the 2010 Bradford International Film Festival Industry Weekend. Tickets are now on sale for the event, which takes place from 19th – 20th March at the University of Bradford and is aimed at anyone wanting to build a careeer in the business of film. This year's theme: Strategies for Survival, focuses on how filmmakers and organisations are creating new business models to help them survive in a challenging climate.

Specialists from across a wide range of disciplines will share their experiences working in the film industry in a series of sessions and masterclasses, allowing for thorough discussion across a broad spectrum of topics; including finance, distribution, production, camera, new platforms, screenwriting, skills development and setting up your own production company.

Confirmed speakers include award-winning screenwriter and film producer Dean Cavanagh (cult internet series Svengali), producer Piers Tempest (feature film Like Minds), writer and producer Jeremy Dyson (The League of Gentlemen), producer Barry Hanson (The Long Good Friday), Jenny Granville (Director, Northern Film School), David Wilkinson (Distributor, Guerrilla FIlms) Joe Oppenheimer  (Executive Producer, BBC Films), Robin Gutch (Managing Director / Producer, Warp X) and Lenny Crooks  (Head of New Cinema Fund, UK Film Council).  For the full line-up and schedule, go to www.screenyorkshire.co.uk

Industry Weekend passholders are entitled to £1 off all BIFF screenings and screentalks (at the National Media Museum only). *Discount will be applied when booking tickets at the same time as purchasing Industry Weekend pass or upon production of pass at the museum box office.
