Property specialist joins Ward Hadaway

Law firm Ward Hadaway has further boosted the strength of its property team in Yorkshire with the recruitment of Andrew Pliener.

Andrew joins Ward Hadaway’s Leeds office as a Partner and specialises in all aspects of commercial and residential property.

Andrew has advised on a wide range of commercial developments across the country from stand-alone commercial sheds and leisure units to 100+ acre multi-let sites.

On the residential side, Andrew has advised developers on sites throughout Yorkshire and beyond including on green and brown field sites and city centre apartment developments of over 500 units.

He also has considerable experience on assembling large sites with multiple owners.

Earlier this month, Ward Hadaway announced the recruitment of four senior lawyers to its Leeds office – Partners Richard Port, Gavin Maddison and Gareth Yates and assistant solicitor Andrew Nicklin.

Ward Hadaway’s Leeds office has grown rapidly since opening its doors in July 2008.

The Wellington Street operation is now home to almost 40 lawyers and has a total staff of over 50.

The range of services available to clients has also expanded and includes property, construction, environmental, employment, insolvency and corporate recovery, company and commercial law, corporate finance, banking and finance, property litigation, health and safety, intellectual property, IT and EU and competition law advice.

The office has attracted a number of high profile clients, including household names in the retail and finance sectors and a range of public sector organisations.
