Brasserie Blanc
Brassiere Blanc is one of of Leeds' hidden gems and once you've found it you'll be back time and time again. Tucked away in Sovereign Street the setting is stunning and the atmosphere relaxed and informal.
Sitting alongside the River Aire, just five minutes walk from Leeds Station and 10 minutes from Briggate, you'll find Brasserie Blanc in a refurbished Victorian mill. With its vaulted brick ceilings and cast iron pillars is wonderfully warm and welcoming. It's just the place for a leisurely lunch or dinner with family and friends, a romantic dinner or a get together with clients and colleagues.
The á la carte menu offers a mix of regional French cuisine, regional dishes and seasonal specials. Raymond Blanc's influence is clear for all to see, Maman Blanc's miscellany of salads, a Hot Cheese Soufflé well as Mussels in white wine and cream. Alongside these you'll find belly pork, English liver and onion marmalade, hot smoked salmon fishcakes or steaks from the grill. All very reasonably priced with starters from £4.45 - £6.95 and mains around £12.
It's the Dine with Wine menu that really catches the eye. Starting at £11.50 for two courses or £13.95 for three , it is one of the best value menus in the city. Add £1.95, for a glass of red or white wine and you’ve got yourself a cracking good value meal in a spectacular setting and you won’t go home hungry.
