Overview
The Original Oak has been going over 150 years, having been built in 1838. The pub is named after the famous Shire Oak which stood in the grounds for over 1,500 years. It is located close to the cricket ground, and is one of Leeds' best known meeting places. Th Oak is a traditional pub lounge downstairs and a modern music bar upstairs. It also has also has a function and conference room available. They offer good traditional pub food, and have barbecues in the summer months. They are a student favourite, and a well-used beer garden, and show all the sport on television. It's also one of the best places in Leeds to catch some stand-up comedy.
