Overview
Livebait is one of the city's two specialist fish restaurants. Serving a comprehensive range of piscatorial delights including whelks, cockles, Madagascan crevettes, swordfish and seabass - to name only a few - Livebait is a feast for fish lovers. In fact, the menu is jam-packed with all the usual fish dishes, plus a selection of unusual extras, including a lengthy catch of the day menu and an extensive list of oysters, shellfish and crustacea. And for those that just can't stay away from the good old English favourite, Fish and Chips are also available - cooked in your choice of either beer or Cajun batter.
The restaurant itself is a tasteful warehouse conversion, retaining many of the building's original features. Livebait also benefits from an outdoor patio area, which has proved enormously popular over the summer.
