Overview
This beautiful one acre garden is renowned for its outstanding design and exquisite detail. It contains shrub and herbaceous borders, ponds, a pinetum dell, nutwalk, fern borders and one of the country’s most famous herb gardens. It truly is one of Britain's best small gardens.
Featured on Channel 4’s ‘The City Gardener’ in 2003 and on the BBC’s ‘Small Town Gardens’ in 2004, the York Gate Garden is famous in its own right and is owned by the Perennial Gardeners’ Royal Benevolent Society.
