Overview
Nestling round the right-hand corner of the brand new Leeds Novotel’s mezzanine floor, Elements is ideal whether you’re stopping over or not. Not unlike the hotel it sits in, Elements’ styling is clean and modern but not stark. Chocolate, cream and strawberry are the mouth-watering colours on offer, abundant in low level squashy benches and pudgy stools. The tables are low and chunky with plenty of room for an army of drinks alongside the cheery floral displays. A shiny white bar, illuminated by groovy pendant lamps and spotlights, steals the show at the top of one leg and a state-of-the-art plasma screen, showing sporting events or music videos, is centre of attention at the end of the other.
For those wanting the company they keep to be the focal point, there are several comfy booths to bag for the night while the chart music on offer filters through at a level low enough for normal volume chatter. Hanging to the bar’s right, an etched tablet of glass reveals the surprisingly reasonable drinks prices and, should the beer munchies set in, the bar's equally well-priced and delicious range of light meals are available right through till closing time, or a more robust feed is on offer next door in the Garden Brasserie. Moreover, its location means that the same, friendly service, pleasant surroundings and relaxed atmosphere that makes the hotel such a winner is guaranteed here to. And at the end of the night, it's a short walk to one of many comfortable beds.
