Overview

The Fairburn Ings RSPB Nature Reserve covers extensive areas of marsh, wet pasture and open water, attracting large numbers of birds. An ideal place to see water birds at close quarters throughout the year, the nature reserve also attracts thirteen species of wildfowl, including smew and goosander in winter, and redshanks, snipe and lapwings in summer. At the reserve is a visitor centre, bird hides, walks and a full programme of events for all ages are on offer.

Opening Times Open all year, except Christmas Day and Boxing Day Visitor centre 11.00am-4.00pm weekdays, 10.00am-5.00pm weekends Car park open dawn to dusk
