Leeds band a Czech hit
Leeds big band Bassa Bassa proved a big hit when they travelled to the Czech Republic to take part in the "Leeds Days in Brno" festival.
The band were so well received that they have been invited back to perform their own brand of jazz dance music at a festival next year.
Leeds has been twinned with Brno for more than 15 years.
Visitors to the festival were given the chance to sample Yorkshire tea and Leeds Best Beer from Leeds Brewery – both went down very well.
Brno residents also had the chance to enter a prize draw to win a free weekend to Leeds, sponsored by Jet2 and Jurys Inn Leeds.
Coun Richard Brett, leader of Leeds City Council, said: "We would like to thank the city of Brno for hosting this festival, which was a celebration of the successful, long-standing partnership between our two cities.
"The event was a fantastic opportunity to promote Leeds as a tourist destination, strengthen existing links and create new ones with Brno and its surrounding area."
