The spirit is willing, says psychic Gavin
He has read the tarot cards of Girls Aloud, held late-night vigils with stars of Emmerdale, appeared on Living TV's Most Haunted and now he's coming to Leeds hoping to have a chat with Charles Dickens.
Gavin Cromwell, paranormal investigator and psychic to the stars, will visit the city in August and wants to hear from people with haunted houses, spooky stories and tales of the paranormal.
Gavin, 25, plans to visit Temple Newsam House and the city's oldest pub, Whitelocks in Turks Head Yard where, famously, Charles Dickens held court over a drink or two with Victorian admirers.
His team emphasise that other venues for his investigations are kept from Gavin until the last moment, ruling out historical research.
Gavin has been aware of his spooky sense since he was four.
He said: "It's always come naturally to me.
"When I was a kid I used to draw pictures of witches and cats and then I started doing little spells and it just went from there.
Funky
"I want to get across the message that it's not as scary as people think. You know, it's not all women in white dresses, devils with horns and pictures falling off walls.
"I'm really looking forward to coming to Leeds. I've never visited there before, but it seems like such a young, funky place with great people."
Anyone with who thinks they may not be alone, or who thinks they might share Gavin's gift, should post their queries on the message board at www.gavincromwell.com.
And Gavin is only half of a psychic double coming to the city.
On September 29 Colin Fry will invite people to an evening of clairvoyance in the Town Hall.
The international psychic and spiritualist medium claims the special gift of communicating messages of comfort and joy from deceased loved ones.
"The majority of the messages I receive are simply spirits trying to help the confused and complex feelings that accompany bereavement of their loved ones."
