Overview
The Mint is an unassuming venue nestling on the lower floor of a small office block on Harrison Street, previously home of Back to Basics. It has earned a well-deserved reputation as a quality venue for the discerning clubber.
Stretching the Mint idea through the club's general design theme has resulted in a kitch-meets-class theme with more than a hint of 50's Americana monotone style thrown in for good measure. In other words, the tables are circular with holes in the middle as are the stools. The smaller ones have raised 'mint' embossed edges. The slick, vintage appeal of the bar is created by an intimate lighting pattern, just like Fox's Glacier Mints!
The design doesn't end there though. The club's toilets were the first of the unisex variety in Leeds and feature custom-made glass sinks. Don't be put off though. Whereas this may qualify as 'cheese' at some venues, The Mint carries off the look with more than enough panache.
