Overview

A 2007 Fellow at the Institute, Mark Wilsher is fascinated with the presence of large abstract sculpture in outdoor space, and its representation on the printed page. Taking such images from found magazines and catalogues, he inserts his own drawn lines onto their space, in an operation which borders on the corrective.
This show will focus on images and text from the ’60s and ’70s, subtly altering their original character.
