Overview
This is an old fashioned pub. In fact, it is often referred to as the oldest pub in Leeds, although it vies with Whitelock's for the title. It was originally built to take advantage of the passing pack-horse trade travelling between Leeds and Otley, hence the name.
In more recent times The Pack Horse was a favourite haunt for political types from the University. The pub retains an anarchist feel with punk and metal bands performing regularly in the small gig rooms upstairs.
