Leeds Festival and Philharmonic Choruses join forces with the BBC Philharmonic for performances of Elgar’s ‘The Music Makers’, setting poetry by Arthur O’Shaughnessy (“We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams”) and Prokofiev’s Alexander Nevsky, originally conceived as a score for the 1938 Eisenstein film of the same name.
