Overview
Harewood House, home to the Earl and Countess of Harewood, is famous for its splendid collection of Chippendale furniture, as well as stunning architecture and award-winning gardens, grounds and Bird Garden. New for 2008: the refurbished East Bedroom with its remarkable ‘lost’ Chinese wallpaper, restored and reunited with furniture it was originally commissioned to complement.
Visit the Yorkshire Planetarium at Harewood, a dazzling starlit experience, explore ‘Below Stairs’ to re-live the stories of the servants who worked here, experience the tranquillity of the Himalayan Garden, lake and waterfall or marvel at the exquisite parterre and sub-tropical planting of the Archery Border. There’s hours of challenging fun on the Adventure Playground and the Courtyard Café is the ideal place for rest and refreshment with outside dining areas for the summer.
Open:
15th March to 2nd November 2008. Daily from 10am (House open daily from 11am).
