Overview
Laying down the gauntlet to the city's entertainment fraternity, MPV is one of the city's first venues outside of the commonly perceived entertainment district. Having originally opened its four pod-like doors in July 2001, MPV is a futuristic bar, club and cafe hybrid. With bright red retro-future appeal, the 4 pods were built by shipbuilders, before being inserted under each of the railway arches. With a bar and cocktail room in the two end pods, they are also the main music-centred zones. The two central pods are more chilled bars and both have an upper level, housing the slick toilet facilities. All pods are seamlessly joined, making your journey through very interesting. The refreshing tranquility of the church and peaceful gardens opposite creates a soothing edge and contrasts nicely with the venue's bright red appeal.
