Low-cost airline gives high customer satisfaction

An airline customer satisfaction survey of more than 30,000 members of consumer group Which? has praised low-cost airline Jet2.com ahead of its rivals including Easyjet and Ryanair.

The four-page article, published in July’s issue of the Which?, the leading independent consumer champion in the UK, reported that in the battle of the best-known ‘no-frills airlines’, neither Easyjet and Ryanair did particularly well – in fact, Jet2.com came ahead of every other low cost operator in the British Isles.

The publication went on to say: “The performance of no-frills airlines on popular short-haul routes, such as to Spain, Portugal and Italy, was more varied – Jet2.com was rated the highest.”

Jet2.com boss Philip Meeson said "The readers of Which? have stunned everyone at Jet2.com. We're over the moon at being ranked ahead of the likes of British Airways and KLM, who can't get anywhere near to the low fares we offer, and are of course delighted to be ahead of every other low cost airline in the British Isles.

"It's particularly pleasing that we have been singled out for the high standard of service on our flights to Italy, Portugal and Spain. Millions of people travel from the UK to these countries on holiday every year and I'd say to anyone who hasn't flown with Jet2.com that, with an endorsement like this and our extremely low fares, why not give us a try?"

Neil Fowler, Editor, Which? magazine, said: “The glamour of air travel may have gone, but there are still some classy carriers out there that will make getting to your destination an enjoyable part of your holiday.

“You might think that you get what you pay for, but the best European no-frills airlines prove that you can offer a stripped down service at a good price and keep your customers happy – as for Ryanair and Easyjet… if you want great customer service then look elsewhere.”
